1. The diagnosis of this disease is confirmed based on the signs and symptoms including: (1) ciliary or mixed hyperemia, (2) dust-like or pigmentary precipitates on the posterior surface of the cornea, (3) turbid aqueous humor, (4) pupil contraction or pupillary metamorphosis.
2. The prognosis of this disease is generally good if treated promptly and correctly. However, if mistreated or if there are recurrent attacks, it may lead to other complications with a poor prognosis.
3. At the late stage, the excessive pattern of the patient was almost resolved, but residual heat remained in the body and the yin was damaged by excessive cold bitter medicinals. Therefore, Gān Lù Yĭn (Sweet Dew Beverage) was used to nourish yin and clear heat, to eliminate the pathogens and cure the disease.
4. At early onset, combine TCM treatment with mydriatic agents to prevent synechia and reduce the risk of complications.
