Integration stage
At this stage, ownership of your domain has been established, but other settings that make Office 365 services work haven't yet been configured. Microsoft will provide you with instructions on what records to create, but here's an example summary just in case:

Typical Office 365 DNS configuration
Note the previous table assumes that email is the only mission critical, noninterruptible service in your enterprise. If Lync/Skype for Business is in use on-premises for your organization, you'll likely need special handling that isn't covered here.

* This MX record will vary substantially from tenant to tenant, and while other settings may be uniform, it must be checked on each domain configuration.
** MX, TXT spf, and CNAME auto-discover records can have a profound impact on the operability and functionality of existing Exchange and Outlook systems. The timing of any changes to these records should be carefully considered, and appropriate changes to the AD should be timed accordingly. Contact your Microsoft partner for guidance.
