Working with user settings

Once you find the user(s) you want to manage, you can perform many common tasks such as resetting their password, disabling or enabling their login, assigning licenses, and more.

Some actions are possible to perform on bulk users, but it will depend on the specific action and the status of each user you've selected in some cases. Some functions won't work in bulk, or can create problems if you choose users with contradictory statuses. For example, adding licenses in bulk can be problematic if the selected users have different licenses at the start.

In many ways, setting user options via the admin portal is very similar to specifying these options when you create a new user.

Simply clicking on a user's name will cause the portal to open the dialog for changing their properties. Many of the settings we'll discuss are accessed simply by choosing one of the various Edit buttons shown here:

Unbeknownst to most admins, you can also select multiple users—even after the single-user dialog is open. This is accomplished by clicking the checkbox to the left of the user's name:
